Vincent Printing Instructions

First and foremost all print jobs to Kildee Lab Black and White Laser Printers cost $ 0.005 per page and color print jobs are $ 0.05 per page including those sent through the Vincent print Queue

Print Queues and How to use them

Printing charges from Kildee Labs are regulated through Project Vincent. These charges will be applied to your university account. To ensure proper fee allocations please follow these instructions carefully!

• To print from project Vincent to the HP 8100 Laser Printer ($ 0.005/page) in room 1 type

lpr -Pkh1_lj8100 -Gubill_username filename

• To print from project Vincent to the HP 8150 Laser Printer ($ 0.005/page) in room 124 type

lpr -Pkh124-4000 -Gubill_username filename

• To print from project Vincent to the HP 5500 Color Laser Printer ($ 0.05/page) in room 1 type

lpr -Pkh1-lj5500 -Gubill_username filename

• Other Print queues can be accessed by using the lpr command in the format

lpr -Pprintername -Gubill_username filename

• Example

To print a file named psprntest.prn to a print queue named kh1_lj4 if my ISU username was solution@iastate.edu the command to issue would be

Lpr -Pkh1_lj4 -Gubill_solution psprntest.prn
