Computer Lab Resources:
In addition to university licensed
software and Animal Science oriented software, computers in the
Kildee Laboratories have several other titles. Several Adobe
software titles are included (Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator and
Acrobat) as well as StarOffice. X-Windows software is available to
access ISUA or other computer systems with a graphical user
interface for programs like SAS.
WebCT can be
accessed using Internet Explorer from servers at
ITS. Students that login
using their NetID and password will have a personal network file
space mapped to the "My Documents" folder on the desktop. Files
saved in the "My Documents" folder will be available at any other
computer in the lab or any other computer lab similarly configured
across campus. Students that login using their NetID and password
can print to the laser printers located in the room or those in
Durham. Print charges are $.005/page for B&W printers and $.05/page
for the color printer. Students may elect to pay for printing from
the $5/semester printing grant from CAC or charge printing to their
university bill (U-bill).
